As I mentioned in the main Dubrovnik post I decided to split some of the activities into this post. Those activities being:
I wanted to have another nice swim in the Adriatic Sea before the end of my holiday. I checked out a few beach options in Dubrovnik. The main beach is Banje Beach just to the East of the Old Town. I didn't actually even go check this out, I just forgot, silly me. I went and looked at Beach Šulić and Danče Beach both just outside the Old Town to the west. I had a swim at Beach Šulić.

There are 2 famous "hole in the wall" type bars in Dubrovnik. Literally you walk through a hole/doorway in the city walls to get to them. They are both called Buza Bar, but are slightly different vibes. They are essentially just a bar perched on top of the rocks outside the walls.

So ... what you came here to see ... at the first Buza Bar people do cliff jumping, basically it is jumping off the rocks (aka cliff) into the Adriatic. It is deep so there so there is no chance of hitting the bottom. I had read about this during my holiday research and thought to myself "I want to try and do that". I didn't tell anyone about that part of my holiday plans. After my swim at Beach Šulić seeing as I was in my swim gear already and wet, I thought this was a perfect time to go and see if I would have the courage to do it.

Made my way to the place to jump from ... Will I jump?
I made this video as an Instagram post so it has some of the photos above in it as well .... so just be patient.
Was cool I got 3 different videos. One guy did on my phone from below, then the guy who was prompting me on the rock too one too. The next day when I did my kayak tour, pure coincidence the 2 ladies who were on the kayak tour with me recognised my red swim shorts when I was talking about having done it the day before and they said they had a video as well, so got that from them, that was the one from high up.

My reward to myself, a Radler. It was expensive there €6 but I deserved it.
I watched this guy do it from super high up. That is total madness !!!

Check the guy at top left gees like that is super high, I think is about 20m. Mad mad mad !!!
The next activity I planned was a Sunset Kayak Tour. I had researched this as well before my travels and knew the company I was likely to use, I did suss out the others and see what they had to offer. There are 4 companies that do it, all pretty much the same. I went with Dubrovnik Old Town Kayaking. I booked the tour using GetYourGuide as it was a better price than they offered on site. I did this tour.
We started with the expected safety briefing and then moved onto the kayak and how to best do things. We had an odd number of people on our tour (9 I think), I was the only single person, the rest were couples/friends so I got the single kayak. I guess that's good as I can do my own thing but also bad as I have to do all the work and noone to help paddle.

We headed out 1st to a place along side the city walls where we stopped and got some info on the history of the city and a bit of other info.

Next we moved onto Betina Cave. You can only reach the cave by water so it is pretty quiet. By the time we got there my back was killing me, I was finding I was having to lay back a bit too much and couldn't sit up straight. After the cave our guide gave me his life jacket to put behind my lower back as a sort of cushion. That was then a million times better and I was sorted.

Getting to Betina Cave

Betina Cave
When at the cave we had some free time to do whatever we wanted. They provided masks and snorkels. I was wondering how well I would be able to see under the water without my glasses on but it was pretty good, so that was cool. I guess the air pressure or something helps with the vision.

Snorkeling at Betina Cave
I think the other people on my tour were having a good laugh at me speaking through my snorkel. LOL.

Normally we would have headed towards and gone around Lokrum Island. We didn't as there was a pregnant lady on our tour and the guide didn't think it would be good for her and we were a bit behind time and would miss the sunset, everyone was OK with that, it was totally understandable. I do also think I was holding things up a bit as well lagging behind (before). Next it was onto the final stop. We headed towards Lokrum Island and then to a point to view the sunset.

It wasn't as easy to get really nice photos as phone and GoPro were both in their protective housings and had to be careful not to drop things etc. although I had protection for both incase I did.

I had left the hike up Mt Srd until the final day of my holiday. Mainly as the full moon was almost upon us and maybe would be better coming down in the dark. Turns out that made zero difference to the visibility at night. It did feel kinda symbolic watching the sunset and the sun setting on my holiday. I started at about 3pm, even though I knew sunset was 6:30ish, I wanted to take a leisurely walk up. You can take the cable car, that costs €27 return or €15 one way. I thought if I didn't feel like the walk down in the dark I could always take that. I didn't want to use my iPhone's torch/flash when coming down as I wasn't sure what the battery level would be by then, so I took over my bicycle front light, which worked perfectly.
