One thing going on holiday ... it is nice to think about trying some of the meal options I had when I'm home. Just coincidentally both things I've made I had in Zagreb.
I used this recipe to make mine.
Photo reminder: this was the Pljukanci I had in Zagreb:

Since being home I've tried to make this twice, the 1st time it came out OK but not that uniform and a little thicker than I'd have liked. I had another go with a baking tool I bought at the market a while back. It's not true Pljukanci in the sense of the word using that way as they aren't rolled and tapered at the ends, but still made them more uniform and nicer I think.

My Pljukanci also didn't have truffle sauce, I had small slithers of beef and mushroom with feta and a nice creamy sauce. I was very pleased with the final outcome and will do it again.
I had the Kremšnita from Zagreb, that style has chocolate on the top vs the Bled Kremšnita which has a biscuity puff pastry on the top, I never had one of those.

This was going to be a bit more of a challenge to make. There were quite a few things I'd never done before so territory for me baking wise. Before the festive season I got the ingredients needed and planned what I was going to do. I was basing my recipe of a combination of this and this & this for the whipped cream.
Christmas morning I decided to give it a go to see how it turned out. There were quite a few steps to get this right. Here are the pics.

Early stages

Custard

Biscuit base (decided on this vs puff pastry)

Whipped cream prep

Whipped cream added

Chocolate topping being added

Left it overnight and then for Boxing Day (26th December) had it with morning coffee.

Was VERY nice. A few criticisms about how it came out. Chocolate top layer was a bit thick and hard, been better if was thinner/softer. The whipped cream was a little soft so a bit more whipping would've been ideal, but also I didn't want it to turn. I read that it does soften like that so maybe wasn't something I did wrong as such. Biscuit base was quite hard/solid but not too bad.
